Lisman Studio thought it would be a great opportunity to show off some of our experience in staging while also featuring one of our recently completed projects. Located on Historic South Temple, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the historic Walter Lyne Mansion, is recorded on the National Register of Historic Places. Lisman Studio was hired to complete a full design revamp of the property, while carefully respecting it’s historical heritage. Working closely with historical documents, and a sketched set of plans from a 1970’s “remodel”, the Lisman Team went to work researching the property and diligently moving forward to bring it back to life. The home had been abandoned for over a decade and had suffered considerable neglect. Fortunately the new property owner had a vision to bring the property back to its original grandeur, while converting the residence for use as his attorney’s office on the main floor and adding a handsome private residence on the second level.
Woodwork was refurbished, doors replaced, walls added over time were removed and 11 bathrooms renovated. Period antique chandeliers were located by LaMar Lisman to replace the current inappropriate light fixtures installed during the 1970’s. Wallcoverings reproduced from the 1800’s by Bradbury and Bradbury created instant period panache and added some much needed pattern and color to the private quarters of the home. And to complete the look for our photo shoot, the dining room is staged for a Victorian High Tea. Lisman Studio offers full holiday décor and event staging at our client’s request. It is our feeling that combining tasteful interior design with appropriate holiday, party and seasonal décor is definitely the “icing on the cake!”
